By default within the kinetic UI, date fields will be displayed in a US format:

The format of these fields is actually dynamic and dependent on the user's 'Format Culture' setting. This can be modified from User Account maintenance:

After saving, the user will see date's in the appropriate format the next time kinetic screens are accessed.
