When a third-party carrier sends goods to the customer a csv file is created. This is loaded to an ftp or local directory. This file is then collected and imported into an intermediary table in Epicor.

From the intermediary table the data is checked for errors and whether the delivery was late. The table is then automatically filled with order and shipment data, such as the pack number and the order’s need by date. If there is no error the POD data is loaded into the ship head table.

If an error is found during the file import or processing, an email alert is sent to the email addresses defined in the module’s user codes.
