Intended Purpose
Auto Job Suggestion automates and assists with job creation and processing.
STAGE 1: Firm Job Record and Job Creation
The system automatically creates a job to fulfil demand.
It can be configured only to create jobs if the material parts are available or ignore the material requirements. If it isn’t ignored, then it can also be configured to create partial jobs with the available material stock.
A manual job can also be created to fulfil this step if required.
This job creation could be handled by the MRP process.
STAGE 2: Internal Job Confirmation
When the job is created, a user can modify it if required and then manually set an internal confirmation checkbox.
The system will automatically reserve the material for that job (optional) and create a linked purchase order.
The system will send a csv and/or job traveller to the manufacturing warehouse (optional).
If the warehouse cannot ingest these, a user will need to manually contact them.
STAGE 3: Warehouse Job Confirmation
This step is the warehouse confirming that they are happy with the job and will start it.
This can be kicked off by an automated job file, they may change the quantity of the job within a configurable tolerance or a user can set a checkbox in job entry.
The system will then automatically create a subcontract shipment and issue the material to the job.
STAGE 4: Warehouse Job Completion and Receipt
This step should be completed when the job has been finished.
It can be kicked off by the warehouse sending a receipt file or a user can set a checkbox in job entry.
The system will receive the purchase order and mark the job as complete.
At this point, the parent part is added to available on-hand stock.
